Project summary
In collaboration with the Center for Craft and creative studio Craftwork, we conceptualized and designed a physical and digital materials library targeting the craft artist community and the public. The Materials Collection is an installation of over 100 common and innovative craft materials, generously contributed by many artists, companies, and nonprofits nationwide and internationally.
Background
The Center for Craft resources the preservation and innovation of craft, catalyzing the people and ideas shaping the future of making through grants and fellowships, library and archives of American craft, and exhibitions and public programs that showcase craft’s evolving impact on culture.

StudyDesign and implement a modular, scalable materials library relevant to the art and practice of craft that can serve a local community, visiting community, and online community in a meaningful and interactive way. 

Systems include modular furniture and a physical library catalog that corresponds with an interactive digital catalog accessible both in the museum and online.
